JPOS Station Keeping is a DP-0 system perfectly suited to workboats and fishing vessels of every size. Advanced yet easy-to-use technology that uses the vessel's GPS compass and is operated with a simple joystick — intuitive, with flexible integration into the ship's systems. Installation, start-up and calibration are done efficiently thanks to a unique autotuning function.

GNSS feeds real-time position and heading to the DP controller, which continuously commands the thrusters to counter wind, waves and current. The operator doesn't steer to stay in place — the system does.
Real-time position and heading reference.
Continuously calculates corrections from position and sensor input.
Automatically compensate for wind, waves and current.
Deploys the transducer for reliable acoustic positioning.
Continuous position feedback keeps the vessel aligned to the ROV.

Holds the vessel on an exact position, automatically countering wind, waves and current so the crew can work instead of steering.
Locks the bow on a chosen heading and holds it against environmental forces, while the operator remains free to move the vessel.
Tracks a moving underwater target and keeps the vessel above it, so the ROV stays well inside its umbilical envelope during the whole dive.
Lets the vessel weather-vane naturally around a fixed point, using the least possible thruster power to stay on station.
Low-speed joystick control with fine translation and rotation for quay approaches and side-by-side operations.
Maintains a set speed over ground for towing, seabed mapping, survey lines and sampling runs.
Direct, individual control of each thruster when the operator wants to manoeuvre entirely by hand.
The system learns the vessel's response during commissioning, so installation and calibration are done without manual tuning.
JPOS is delivered complete with its own software and is integrated into the ship bridge system, so position, heading, deviation and thruster status are available at the operator's station.
The display is available in two sizes, 5" and 7", so the panel can be fitted in the wheelhouse or out on the work deck.
